Lunigiana is not so far from the main Tuscan Art Cities. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Massa, Carrara and others are easily reachable to visit on day trips, both by train and by car. Just to make a note of: Carrara is, of course, home of the infamous marble; marble used by Michelangelo for all of his sculptings. Some of the numerous quarries are open to visitors and you can also visit the Marble Museum of Carrara.
