In 1989, I concluded my studies at " The Institute of Art and Restoration" in Florence, one of the most well-reknowned schools of art in Italy. Most of the teachers are members of the House of Dante, a prestigious society of high quality fine artists, based in Florence.
Art, of course is first and foremost, a passion, and having studied such refined techniques, including that of Leonardo da Vinci's particular style of pencil and sepia drawing, my career has developed mainly through commission work in children's portraiture, landscapes, still life and figure drawing. All these executed in either oil, watercolour or sepia in a very traditional pictorial manner.

I also enjoy illustration and have illustated local book publications, with Pontremoli, a nearby town, being famous for it's Bancarella Book Prizes. Trompe l'oeuil( wall-painting ) also comes high on the list of my preferred activities. Both of these aspects, where applicable, can be introduced into art sessions.
Imparting art knowledge, techniques and know-how, old and new, is part of being an artist. For this reason, it is my pleasure in passing on those refinements necessary for bringing out the artistic spirit that is in all of us.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy those pleasures; enthusiasm is the name of the game......the rest will come whilst you're painting! I and my husband, Angelo, look forward to greeting you at Ca'Sola Farm Holiday. Annabel Ross
